Brunch Of The Week: Scare Up Some Grub

In today’s very special Halloween edition of Brunch of the Week, we’re focusing on a one-time-only event. But don’t worry, it’s at a restaurant that always offers a killer brunch, regardless of whether the undead are involved.

This Sunday, Mudhen Meat & Greens presents Zombie Brunch, an all-day extravaganza perfect for fixing the hangover for the thousands of you going to the Cedar Springs street party Saturday night.

In addition to the regular brunch items, which includes winners such as the McMudhen sandwich, whole wheat pancakes and an enchilada stack with eggs, you’ll also be able to enjoy a few daily specials.

On the food side of the menu, gobble up some Eggs in Purgatory: baked Vital Farms eggs in a spicy tomato sauce with pork sausage and black beans, served with a side of sourdough toast.

But if you’re like us, brunch cocktails lure us in as much as fantastic food. On that front, sip on a Blood Moon, made from house-infused beet vodka topped with champagne and blood orange juice. Or a Pumpkin Spiked Crack featuring coffee liqueur, Little City Republic brew, MCT oil, grass-fed butter and real pumpkin.

Remember, this brunch lasts all day (9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), so feel free to sleep in.
The zombies have nothing to do but wait anyway.
