News & Reviews for Gay Dallas

The (se)X-Files

We still have nightmares thinking about our parents thinking about us having sex.

Can you imagine if they’d ever actually talked to us about it?

Well, the terror is real for Otis (Asa Butterfield) whose mom (Gillian Anderson) is a certified sex therapist. But a scheme by a fellow student to exploit the overheard conversations and resulting vicarious knowledge leads asexual Asa to start his own underground sex therapy clinic at school. There, he learns the deepest, darkest secrets and fantasies of his fellow students—all while discovering a little bit about his own sexuality along the way in this provocative, touching British comedy debuting Friday.

Unlike Bird Box, you’ll want to keep your eyes wide open for this one.
