Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Dreaming Of France?

We haven’t been to Europe in practically forever. Mostly because Southwest Airlines isn’t going there yet and we have a ton of miles to use.

But some day we’ll return.

In the meantime, we can get a taste of authentic France thanks to the ever-impeccable cuisine at The French Room, recently updated inside the also-newly-updated Adolphus Hotel.

We’d been once before for an event, but when they asked us to come in for their famed five-course tasting menu, we absolutely couldn’t resist. The French Room is simply made for date night.

Under the talented guidance of executive chef Anthony Dispensa the culinary team works magic in a surprisingly compact kitchen. Blending his Italian heritage with classic French ingredients and techniques, everything that hits the table from the bread and butter to the final bite of dessert delivers flavor and sophistication like almost nowhere we’ve ever eaten.

The tasting menu changes frequently, but if you’re lucky they’ll have the cauliflower rice risotto, a decadent take on the classic dish made slightly healthier with riced cauliflower. But make no mistake, this is still a rich, sumptuous dish. Darn if our stomach isn’t growling right this very second as we stare at the photo.

Of course, service shines as you’d expect (possibly even better) in a restaurant of this caliber. So next time you plan to splurge on a meal that will last forever in your memory, pay a visit to this grand dame of the Dallas culinary scene.

It’s so good, you’ll probably oui all over the place in excitement.
