Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Paint The Rose Room Red

According to Madonna, Rita Hayworth gave good face.

But Dallas Red Foundation is looking for a face of its own—in the form of a glamorous drag queen during the 4th annual Miss Red Pageant. Taking place this Sunday night in the Rose Room, the competition brings together scores of local artists seeking to snatch the crown from the rest of the gals.

The 21-and-over event is free, so it’s an awesome way to bring a close to your weekend festivities. Hosted by Krystal Summers and Raquel Blake, the wildly entertaining contest also features a who’s who of local favorites, including a trio of Real Housewives, one hilarious drag diva, and even a politician!

Come cheer on your favorite, enjoy a cocktail or two, and know that you can tell your grandchildren that you were there when the winner was crowned.

Sure, it might not be on the same level as the moon landing or first woman Supreme Court Justice, but it’s still historic in its own right.
