What a week for Wanda Sykes.
Today, her Netflix standup comedy special, Wanda Sykes: Not Normal debuts and true to form, nothing is off-limits to the comedian. Trump, to our delight, gets plenty of skewering (which requires a mighty long skewer to get through the blubber).
Her material makes for 66 LOL minutes that will leave you ROTFL.
Then tomorrow night, she takes over the iconic role of Louise Jefferson during a back-to-back live resurrection of two classic TV sitcoms.
In Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Norman Lear’s “All in the Family” and “The Jeffersons,” some of Hollywood’s biggest stars bring the shows to life to see how they hold up in today’s politically-correct-meets-culturally-insensitive times.
The cast includes Woody Harrelson and Marisa Tomei as Archie and Edith Bunker, with Sykes and Jamie Fox taking over as Louise and George Jefferson. In addition to Sykes, Sean Hayes brings some LGBT flair to the festivities.
We just hope Tomei can hit those high notes in the opening credits. Or, not hit them as the case may be!
