Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Just For The Health Of It

Our favorite part of going to the doctor’s office used to be the lollipop when it the exam was done. As adults, our favorite part is all the handsome men in scrubs. But that’s a different story for a different site.

Well, we have a new reason to love wellness thanks to the new Oak Lawn Center by Prism Health North Texas. We toured the new facilities recently and loved every square inch. Mostly because the design aesthetic is more boutique hotel than sterile medical clinic.

Most everyone in Dallas’ LGBTQ community knows the many great things that Prism Health North Texas (PHNTX) does to make our lives better, but this latest is a real game-changer. Every American has the right to be healthy and PHNTX ensures you have access.

In addition to offering PrEP services (from labwork to filling the prescription), they also provide sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment. Plus, you can enjoy free Wi-Fi while you wait, as well as free parking.

The waiting area features a communal work station as well as
high-back privacy chairs with views of Uptown.

And speaking of free, the sliding-scale rates for those with and without insurance mean you could pay as little as ZERO DOLLARS for their STI testing and treatment. That includes behavioral health counseling if you need it (current patients only). Pretty amazing, right?

The pricing of services and treatments are all on a case-by-case basis, but everyone should find out their options. Especially those who are sexually active.

Simply call them at 469-687-3200 or fill out this form and they’ll give you answers.

And maybe even a lollipop.

Oui, Oui, Oui All The Way Home

Ah, to be in Paris right now. Maybe with a Candian flag on our backpack, but still. If you’re looking for an escape from all the negativity and chaos encircling us these past few days, nothing is better than a good old-fashioned Broadway musical.
