Brunch Of The Week: With Liberty & Mimosas For All

Getting us north of 635 takes a lot.

Usually the promise of fame, fortune and french fries, but we made an exception this past weekend and opted for just one of the three.

Liberty Burger‘s Keller Springs location launched brunch at the end of June and because we love Liberty Burger for lunch and dinner, we figured we’d load some cash on the ol’ toll tag and head to the hinterland.

And boy are we glad we did.

While you peruse the six-item brunch menu (trust us, it’s still hard to make a decision even with only a half-dozen options), sip on a mimosa or Muchimosa (includes a shot of infused vodka).

Or work on that hangover with a Bloody Mary or Maria. Of course, if you’re really in need of an about-last-night remedy, try Le Cure: a Bloody Mary with a garnish of a cheeseburger slider, fried stuffed jalapeƱo (aka Liberty Torch), a glazed donut hole and crispy bacon. The food items are prepared fresh, so unlike other crazy-crazy BMs out there, this one is worth the extra cost.

The breakfast relleno features a roasted poblano pepper stuffed with scrambled eggs, ground beef, bacon, cheddar cheese and queso blanco.

After a cocktail to get things started, focus on the food. We chose three distinctly different dishes and loved each one for entirely different reasons. Our gluttonous galavanting led us first to the breakfast relleno and the Walk of Shame.

The Walk of Shame (or Walk of Fame depending how you choose to read the menu) comes with an all-beef patty topped with eggs scrambled with more ground bee, bacon, cheddar and queso blanco stuffed between a fresh glazed donut from the little donut shop next door.

Then we ended our binge session with the Snooze Button, a fried chicken breast topped with American cheese (we asked them to substitute pepper jack for a little kick), cheesy gravy and a fried egg on a brioche bun. It’s an incredible chicken sandwich AND it’s available on Sundays!

Best of all, no food item on the brunch menu is more than $10, so it’s a weekend treat that won’t break the bank. We hope this location’s brunch is a success so they roll it out to their other restaurants, but if you want to help ensure that, go this weekend.

There’s been a lot of talk lately about voting with your wallet. Now vote with your taste buds.
