Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Uptown Goes To The Dogs

The weekend hasn’t even kicked off officially, but we’re already planning next week’s adventures. Join our little OCD-fueled planning ritual, won’t you?

Next Thursday, Dog Days of Summer returns to the courtyard at Stanley Korshak for a poochtastic celebration benefiting FIDO (Fashion Industry Dog Org) and ELPO (East Lake Pet Orphanage).

Bring your own pampered pup or bond with a new one at the on-site pet adoption. There will be booths from a variety of other vendors and groups, as well as food and cocktails. All you have to do is RSVP.

If you’re busy next Thursday but still need some puppy kisses, fear not. There’s another similarly-titled event: The Stoneleigh’s Dog Days of Summer Yappy Hour on the patio at their restaurant, Perle on Maple.

Operation Kindness will be there with lovable mutts aplenty. A portion of the money raised from cocktails will go back to the organization and The Stoneleigh will match the contribution dollar for dollar.

Who’s ready for a new best friend?

Livin’ La Vida Local

If we had sex with a woman the first night we went to Local in Deep Ellum, our spawn would be in middle school right now. Scary thought. Also the one about having a child.
