The more the merrier! That phrase works for so many scenarios, but this morning we find it most apropos for the First Watch chain of daytime cafes.
Two have popped up within a couple of miles of our house in the last several weeks alone. There’s already a full baker’s dozen of the restaurants in North Texas, but it wasn’t until they started opening in our neighborhood that they fell onto our radar.
So naturally, we had to stop in to discover the secret behind their success.
As the name suggests, First Watch focuses on breakfast, brunch and lunch with hours each day from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. We visited the new Medallion location on Northwest Highway just one day after they opened and it was as if they’d been in business at that locale for decades. Friendly servers, generous portions, fresh juices and reasonable prices make it a no-brainer for repeat visits.
Best of all, you can sign up for their loyalty program and receive a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for entrées. So you can really get a bargain brunch out of the deal.
As for the food, we loved everything we tried and can’t wait to go back for more. For once, we’ll let the pictures do all the work because one look at some of these dishes and we know your stomach will be growling in no time.
Here’s hoping you’re reading this before 2:30.
