To say we’re not ready for the holidays is an understatement. We don’t even have a single Christmas decoration up at home yet and it’s less than two weeks until December 25!
What we are prepared for, of course, is where to go for brunch—as tempting as it sounds to wake up late, sit around naked, drink Bloody Marys and watch the Christmas parades.
Instead, you’ll find us out enjoying the wintry weather—or possibly sitting on a patio, you never know in Dallas—with a cold glass of bubbly and a Benedict or frittata of some sort in our very near Christmas future.
Though there aren’t a ton of options for Christmas Day Brunch around town, there are more than enough to choose from if you book today. We just browsed the situation over on OpenTable and Resy and we were pleasantly surprised with the variety, whether you’re looking for dim sum with friends or a romantic Italian-themed meal for two at Momo’s.
Then again, if you want a brunch that’s heavy on the wow factor, you definitely can’t go wrong splurging on brunch at Fearing’s at the Ritz-Carlton. There, $110 gets you an extravagant buffet spread that includes stations dedicated to eggs, Eggs Benedict, smoked salmon, chilled seafood, prime rib and desserts, just to name a few of the indulgences.
Of course, if you want to save some money and keep things simple, you’re more than welcome to steal our sitting-around-naked idea.
But please send photos.
