2019 ended with one of Dallas’s oldest gay bars, Pub Pegasus, closing its doors.
According to a Facebook post from its management on the self-proclaimed dive bar’s page:
“We would like to personally thank all of our customers who supported and enjoyed our pub for the past 29 years. Whether you embarked on our journey from day one, or were more recent guests, you ALL made it great! With our sincerest appreciation and gratitude, we love you all and will miss you dearly!”

In the comments of the same post, a Pub Pegasus bartender says that the property was under new ownership who decided to not renew the bar’s lease. Pub Pegasus opened in 1990.
According to The Dallas Voice, the bar’s liquor license expired on Dec. 9, 2019, with no renewal pending.
