Every gay knows that costumes aren’t just for Halloween. If there’s a theme party any day of the year, we’re all over it. Hell, we’ve already invited people to come as their favorite daytime TV personalities for our funeral’s “Good Mourning, America” theme. But hopefully, that’s at least a few years down the road.
We’re looking to the near future for our thematic needs and the Drag Diva Brunch troupe over at House of Blues Dallas has us covered long into May. If you missed the Game of Thrones brunch a couple weeks back, fear not. It kicks off again Saturday with The Magic Queendom, a gender-bending celebration of all things Disney and Disney-adjacent.
If you’re not interested in animated princes, princesses and evil queens (the fake ones, not the ones seated at your table), then you have many options the rest of 2020. Upcoming editions include Sex and the City, Country Queens, Spice Girls, Golden Girls, Dirty Dancing, Mother’s Drag Weekend and Grease.
And that’s just from now to May 30!
Each Saturday brunch features an extensive buffet and one complimentary mimosa or Bloody Mary for $45. Of course, that gets you hours of entertainment, too. (Our only warning is that the crowd is less gay and more bachelorette-y, so take that into consideration if that’s not your thing.)
Arrive in a theme-appropriate costume if you want to really show your pride. Or simply show up and let the craziness unfold all around you.
