Starring in a one-woman show at age 86? We officially have another bucket list item.
For Renée Taylor, one of our favorite stars we first discovered from her time on The Nanny, it’s a reality in her life since 2018. This weekend, the hilarious woman comes to town for four performances at the Eisemann Center in Richardson over Valentine’s Day Weekend.
The Oscar nominee and Emmy Award winner stars in an autobiographical show that she co-wrote with her late husband, actor Joseph Bologna. In the hilarious stage production she chronicles her Hollywood and Broadway history, including a variety of fad diets she tried over the years.
Her character on The Nanny, Sylvia Fine, also struggled with a passion for food so fans can expect a little nostalgia for that hilarious role.
Not only did she try many crazy diets that were popular over the years, she also received weight-loss advice from some of the biggest celebrities ever, from Joan Crawford to Marilyn Monroe.
Presumably how to purge with wire hangers and stand over subway grates for a more slimming appearance.
