Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

A Cruise Ship Cabaret In Your Living Room

While vacations are on hold for tens of millions of people, that hasn’t stopped any of us with 24/7 wanderlust from finding ways to recreate the joys of travel. Even in small ways.

VACAYA, the newest company to offer all-LGBTQ travel experiences from buying out entire ships for cruises to booking entire resorts for land vacations, has a temporary solution. Every Saturday night starting tomorrow, a different one of their signature entertainers will perform a 30-minute concert via Facebook Live.

Including our very own Sister Helen Holy on Saturday, April 4.

Sister Helen Holy has been practicing to deliver a show very similar to this (we hope).

But first up, it’s singer/actress/comedian Tori Scott with Brandon James Gwinn on the keyboard tomorrow night at 8:00 p.m. Performers in this series will be paid a small fee, but there will also be a Venmo tip jar available to show your appreciation for bringing a smile to your face during all this madness.

For now, those are the only two concerts scheduled, but if things continue to go the way they are, we may be in self-isolation long enough for VACAYA to go through their entire talent roster.

Fabulous entertainment’s definitely a silver lining, but we’d much rather see these performers on an actual cruise ship or at a resort with people seated right next to us. Maybe even on our lap.

Soon. Soon enough.
