Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Werq The Weekend

The stay-at-home restrictions are loosening up today, y’all.

But that doesn’t mean we’re going to be rushing out into the public anytime soon. So if you’re like us, you’ll still find plenty of fun stuff to keep you occupied at home.

Tomorrow night, with the Werq the World tour on hold, a new edition of the live stream version hits the computer waves. Werq The World: Battle Royale LIVE Stream¬†will feature Alyssa Edwards, Aquaria, Asia O’Hara, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Gigi Goode, Kameron Michaels, Kim Chi, Plastique Tiara, Vanessa ‘Vanjie’ Mateo, Violet Chachki and Yvie Oddly battling it out in pairs in categories ranging from Dancing to Water Sports.

Hosted by Bianca del Rio and Lady Bunny (pictured above during the April livestream), it’s the next-best-thing to being at a live drag show. Here’s another glimpse from the April edition featuring Gigi Goode:

Tickets are $11.99 for 48-hour access to the live event or $14.99 for access to both this event and the April 4 show.

If budget’s an issue, then turn to Netflix for The Half of It, a charming new film premiering today that’s about as close to a John Waters movie that we’ve seen in ages. It’s got nerds, bullies, teen angst and humor. You know, all the classic components necessary for a flashback to your own wonder years.

Of course, if you’re still sheltering in place, you’ll likely want to watch both the movie and the live event this weekend. So make sure you set an alarm to at least get off the sofa every hour or so.

Otherwise your self-isolation last until you get back in pre-quarantine shape.
