Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Happy Two-Happy-Hour Tuesday!

There’s so much to celebrate today!

From Cinco de Mayo to supporting a favorite non-profit, we’re getting our party outfit ready. Even if nobody will see it but our partner and two dogs.

Today, you can participate in two very different virtual happy hours. And best of all, they’re happening back-to-back so you don’t even have to choose between them.

Get your best drink ready, maybe some bar snacks (here are some fab takeout options), and head to your favorite device.

America’s Official Cinco de Mayo Happy Hour

Liquid nitrogen meets its tequila match at Beto & Son in Trinity Groves

VisitDallas has gathered two chefs from its famed Margarita Mile to co-host a happy hour that’s all about the frozen margarita. (By now, every citizen should know that Dallas is home to the original frozen margarita machine!)

The live event kicks off at 5:00 p.m. over on YouTube with chef Julian Rodarte of Beto & Son (pictured at top of story) and chef Dean Fearing of Fearing’s at the Ritz Carlton-Dallas. During the event, you’ll learn to make some restaurant-worthy cocktails and have a little fun—or a lot if you really get in the spirit.

Then join us in screaming our favorite phrase, “Bottoms up!”

IMPACT Live!: Happy Hour For A Cause

Try not to drink too many margaritas so you’re coherent for this second happy hour of the night. For this one, you’ll also need a cocktail in hand, some snacks and your credit card for good measure.

During IMPACT Live!, enjoy a live show with a musical performance by Caroline Kraddick and drag numbers from Raquel Blake, April Rition and Kylee Fatale. You can also bid on silent auction items throughout the event or simply make a donation to support North Texas AIDS service organizations.

100 percent of donations will go directly to these organizations.

So tally up the money you’re saving as a result of the House of DIFFA postponement and give, give, give. No amount is too little.

And most definitely no amount is too big.
