Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Boom! There It Is!

Fireworks this year definitely won’t be the same. And they definitely won’t look anything like the photo above from last year.

For one thing, nearly every community has canceled them entirely or eliminated the ability to watch in person from a designated venue.

Even Addison Kaboom Town!, which previously thought the show might go on, has gone to a virtual experience. And you know what? We’re fine with that because large gatherings will only keep the Covid-19 going strong.

Kaboom Town! has moved its fireworks to a top-secret location to prevent people from gathering en masse, but it will be streamed on Addison’s YouTube channel July 3 at 9:30 p.m, as well as on CW33 at 10:00 p.m. Saturday if you want to have fireworks on in the background.

For a full, consistently updated list of where you can see fireworks, whether it’s in-person, from your car or online, check out this great roundup from our friends over at The Dallas Morning News.

Of course, with even sparklers illegal in the city limits, you have to rely on watching the fireworks of professionals. Or you could always go buy a stash of glow sticks and run around the back yard singing the national anthem while carrying a stack of apple pies.

Happy 4th of July!
