Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Yes, We Canned!

We’ve been drinking so many canned boozy beverages this summer, we sure hope aluminum poisoning isn’t a thing. (Hmmm, maybe we should be more worried about liver failure.)

The latest canned booze selection in our poolside ice chest comes from Ranch Rider Spirits out of Austin.

Currently, they offer a trio of refreshing, perfect-for-summer sips made with nothing but premium spirits, sparkling water and citrus juices. They don’t add a single granule of sugar, they’re gluten-free and contain only 6% alcohol by volume. And nothing has more than 123 calories per can.

Ranch Water mixes together sparkling water, fresh-squeezed lime juice and premium reposado tequila from Jalisco, Mexico. Tequila Paloma features the same tequila, sparkling water and lime, but gets a kick of sassy sourness from fresh grapefruit. And The Chilton starts with six-times distilled vodka that’s combined with sparkling water, fresh lemon and a dash of sea salt.

We’ve had a hard time figuring out which one we like best, so we went back and forth, back and forth, opening one canned delight after another and finally made a decision—we were tipsy!

And then we chose The Chilton. We didn’t think we’d care for the addition of salt, but it’s so subtle that it really brings out the other flavors in a way that made us crave another.

Fortunately, we had more than enough on standby for another round.
