Each amber-filled bottle of Longbranch represents a collaboration between Matthew McConaughey and Master Distiller Eddie Russell to create a smooth, small-batch bourbon that equally represents Kentucky and Texas in every sip.
The unique flavor starts with a filtration process using American White Oak charcoal then a second filtration through Texas Mesquite charcoal. The result is a little bit smoky, a little bit sweet and a whole lot delightful.
We were sent a bottle to taste test and we started with a single shot to sip. Then another. And then an even bigger one poured over an ice ball in a frozen rocks glass.
We could’ve easily finished the entire 750ml bottle over the course of one relaxing evening because we have nothing but time to kill these days. Luckily, we chose to be gentlemen rather than getting completely dazed and confused.
