Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Drive-in Summer Lovin’

Danny, Sandy, Indiana, Selena and T-Rex. They’re all joining forces to get us out of the house and back to the movies with a brand-new drive-in experience debuting in the heart of Dallas.

Classic movies galore will be glimmering from a 52-foot screen at The Drive-In at The Central. We know, we know. You’ve probably seen Grease and Jurassic Park 20 times already this summer with all the pop-up drive-ins showing old-school flicks, but this one promises to be one of the most traditional drive-in experiences yet.

Kicking off tomorrow (with Grease!), nightly screenings begin with some of the most beloved films of all time. Tickets range from $22 to $35 per vehicle, depending on where you park your car and the time of the screening. (Hint: if you’re OK in the back of the parking lot, available on weeknights or able to do a late-night screening, the prices drop considerably.)

There will also be regular community screenings that only cost $5. The first one will be Frozen II next Monday night.

As you can see, there’s plenty of space for movie lovers.

You’ll be able to bring your own food and drinks, but if you’re able to afford it, we highly recommend supporting the on-site food and beverage vendors who will be there providing contactless order and pickup, including menu items from local food trucks.

Of course, numerous safety protocols are in place from social distancing between cars and masks required when outside the car. No lawn chairs our sitting outside your vehicle will be allowed, but if you have a pickup or hatchback, you can sit in the back of either of those.

Parking spots are assigned upon arrival on a first-come, first-served basis, so on the nights you show up, it’ll be worth arriving early for the best position.

Because we know how important positions are with some of you.
