Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Home Improve-Mint

What a difference seven months makes.

You may have noticed that as of March we have temporarily furloughed our Brunch of the Week feature in light of the ever-changing restaurant landscape, social distancing rules, blah, blah, blah. Yet here we are, almost seven months to the day of writing one of our last Brunch of the Week features on Asian Mint and ready to feature them again for a completely different kind of brunch.

This weekend, you can enjoy all the fab flavors of Asian Mint at home while all their dining rooms remain closed. (Of course, you can still get curbside takeout!) We took part in last month’s cooking class just to see what it was all about and we had a blast.

Join chef/owner Nikky Phinyawatana (pictured) as she hosts a virtual Thai brunch cooking class Saturday, September 12 from 10:30 a.m. to noon via Zoom. Place your order now to get a spot in the virtual class, as well as reserve all the ingredients you need to create a fantastic brunch of bacon fried rice, a Thai fried egg, larb chicken and pineapple mimosas.

All the ingredients come in a pre-portioned chef kit and you only have to do a limited amount of slicing, dicing and pan-frying to achieve restaurant-quality brunch in your very own kitchen. Kits will be available for pickup at the Forest Lane location on Friday.

That means you can sleep late, wake up to a pineapple mimosa and learn some new cooking skills all before noon.

Of course, you may want to purchase a few extra bottles sparkling wine if you want this to be like a regular, pre-pandemic brunch. Best of all, you don’t have to worry about driving home.

Only finding your bedroom for a nap.
