Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Visit Transexual Transylvania (By Way Of McKinney)

If ever there was a year we’d opt for a time warp, it’s 2020.

But damn it, Janet, we at least have the next best thing in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, being presented by the McKinney Performing Arts Center in a special, socially distant, outdoor presentation. Even though the movie event doesn’t take place until October 30, tickets are on-sale now and they’ll go fast, so we wanted you to have plenty of time to plan.

Each vehicle in attendance will be given an 18-foot-by-18-foot space to park and tailgate in the Sheraton McKinney Hotel parking lot, meaning you can dance and quote along from outside your car as long as you stay in your designated space. Tickets for the movie only are $35 for all passengers in the vehicle, or for $25 more you can get a Frank-N-Furter Fun Bag, too.

This kit comes in a souvenir tote and includes interactive supplies for four people: birdseed (instead of rice), newspaper, water pistols, flashlights, rubber gloves, noisemakers, confetti, toast, party hats, bells and playing cards.

Or if you really want to make a special night of it, book a room at the Sheraton McKinney Hotel (mere steps away) with rooms starting at only $109, which includes VIP parking and a $20 concessions credit. Now that’s a bargain!

We’ve been loving the drive-in movies of late, but always lamented not being able to get out of our cars. Who knew all it would take is driving to McKinney.
