Who wants to hang out in Miami Saturday night?
OK, by now you know that we’re setting things up for another “virtually” joke response and yes, we’re as tired of writing those as you are reading them. But at least the online events keep getting better.
This weekend, the National LGBTQ Task Force Gala goes digital with an amazing roster of talent. Hosted by beloved RuPaul’s Drag Race queen Latrice Royale (pictured) the celebration features performances by Melissa Etheridge, Kimberley Locke and Christina Bianco, along with appearances by special guests Pete Buttigieg, Andréa Burns, Sam Champion, Athena Dion, Jonathan Groff, Manila Luzon, Jonathan Slavin, George Takei, Trinity Taylor and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, among many others.
Better still, you can attend this online extravaganza for any donation amount, big or small, with proceeds benefiting the Task Force’s Queering Democracy initiative, including our “Queer the Vote” campaign which aims to drive voter participation in this year’s general election.
You can even join in on the silent auction right now.
Register at thetaskforcegala.org to get login information for the event. And just know that for the first time ever, when Melissa Etheridge sings “Come to My Window” this time, she’ll be talking about her Zoom window.
