What does it look like to be queer in 2020?
LA-based, British photographer Magnus Hastings has the answer. 300 of them to be exact.
In Rainbow Revolution, out today, Hastings explores the LGBTQIA community in a series of exquisite photos taken over two years. Each subject (or subjects) pose in a custom-made white box, which became a three-dimensional canvas that elicited both poses and performances.
What makes the book really special is its use of everyday, un-famous people, not just celebrities. But there are plenty of them for good measure, including Kathy Griffin, Jade Thirlwall, Luke Evans, Boy George, Peppermint, Adore Delano, Eureka O’Hara , Alaska Thunderfuck, Gigi Gorgeous and Nico Tortorella.

Not only does it make for one of the most spectacular coffee table books of the year, its artistic relevance shines. Plus, it’s a great conversation starter.
And also gives us more than a few ideas for our next selfie shoot.
