Have you heard the word of your body?
If you don’t know that reference, perhaps it’s time you sit back this weekend and watch a production of Spring Awakening from the comfort of your whatever-you-sit-on at home.
The University of Texas at Arlington’s Maverick Theatre Company presents the rock musical, based on the 1891 German play that delves into coming-of-age dramatics. The socially distanced stage performance taps into an extra level of creativity for some of the more intimate scenes and allows the viewer to experience the production in a whole new way.
Tickets only cost $8 per device for a 48-hour rental period, so it’s an extremely affordable way to help support the arts and recognize the talented students at UTA.
Better still, they won’t have to hear you singing along to “The Song of Purple Summer.”
