One month ago, an old friend from Arizona moved to Dallas and it didn’t take long for us to remember why we fell in love in the first place.
Mainly because lots of wine is always involved whenever we get together.
Well, if you haven’t already met, please say hello to Postino WineCafe in Deep Ellum. We enjoyed wine and food there so much one night, we returned a few days later for Sunday brunch on one of the best patios in Deep Ellum.
Much like their regular menu highlighting a huge variety of bruschetta and other boards, brunch dishes share easily with friends. Because Postino has expertise in wine, you won’t find any hard liquor here. But several light and refreshing wine cocktails will make you forget about your vodka fixation for a couple of hours.
Or, better still, every day of the week from opening until 5:00 p.m. (including weekends), all glasses of wine on the menu and small pitchers of beer will only set you back $5 apiece.
So in between brunch cocktails, we sampled bubbly, beer, and Barbera-Nebbiolo that we paired with ricotta fritters, white truffle-spiked egg toast, croque madame, crispy cauliflower, and meatballs with goat cheese.
It was one of the most delightful Sundays in recent memory and now our local friends all have a new brunch bestie, too.
You can thank us later for the introduction.
