The new James Bond movie comes out on October 8.
But there’s a different group of spies coming out today (in all meanings of the phrase).
Netflix’s continued push for queer content brings us a delightfully twisted new animated series, Q-Force.
After coming out as gay, superspy Steve Maryweather (a.k.a. Agent Mary) gets pushed to a West Hollywood outpost of the American Intelligence Agency (AIA) with the hopes that he’ll fall off the radar. But he can’t possibly sit on the sidelines while evildoers are out in the world, so he assembles a ragtag team of LGBTQ talents. And, oh yeah, a straight agent, Buck, who’s there to keep an eye on their crime-fighting shenanigans.
We received the entire first season in advance and we loved every minute. From the biting wit and inside gay jokes to the did-they-just-do-that? sight gags, Q-Force has won our hearts.
Starring Sean Hayes, Gary Cole, David Harbour, Patti Harrison, Laurie Metcalf, Matt Rogers, Wanda Sykes, and Gabe Liedman, it’s a great showcase for some of the top acting talents in the business.
We promise you’ll be drawn to every character as much as they’re drawn for your entertainment.
