Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

We Like Big Thickettes And We Cannot Lie

It’s a big week for the Turtle Creek Chorale.

Not only did they start selling tickets to the first shows of the men’s chorus’ 42nd season on Monday, this weekend marks the return of Miss Big Thickette!

After a two-year hiatus caused by Penelope Pandemic, this huge fundraiser benefiting Prism Health North Texas and LifeWalk returns to the stage at the Rose Room.

The legendary Miss Big Thickette drag pageant features four categories, including Presentation, Interview, Talent, Evening Wear (or PITEW for short).

What makes this drag show different than most is that all contestants must perform their talents live, which could include anything from singing and dancing to fire-eating and building fuel cells for electric cars.

Bring lots of paper money because it’s all for a great cause.

Tickets start at only $10 for standing room only access, or you can upgrade to a $30 ticket for guaranteed seating. Of course, you’ll probably want to splurge on $50 VIP access for guaranteed seating, plus a meet-and-greet reception with previous winners and one drink ticket to use during the evening.

We know you like things big as much as we do, so come support the Thickette gals while celebrating a return to in-person fundraising featuring wigs, duct tape and pantyhose.
