Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Brunch Of The Week, Eh?

After weeks of our friends praising the food and cocktails at Canadian eatery Maple Leaf Diner, we finally made it to the Great White North. (In this case, that’s both Canada and North Dallas!)

Be prepared for a wait if you show up at peak times (or join the wait list in advance), but know that your endurance will be well-rewarded with some of the best brunch food we’ve had in months.

Perhaps years.

And in case you don’t have time to read this whole story, we’re going to put this out there right now: Maple Leaf Diner has THE BEST Eggs Benedict we’ve ever had. Plain and simple. Made with genuine Canadian bacon, perfectly poached eggs and the most velvety smooth hollandaise, we could eat this every day if it weren’t for the fat and calories.

And speaking of the dreaded F&C, come hungry and prepared to not feel guilty about the copious amounts of food you’re about to consume.

The waffle stacks are unreal (and unbelievably delicious). The poutine is also a must, whether you get classic fried potatoes, cheese curds and brown gravy or a more creative version. And dessert, from cream puffs to cookies and pie, shouldn’t be overlooked as a to-go option.

We can’t wait to go back to both Maple Leaf Diner. And Canada when we get the chance.

But until then, we’re happy to settle in with the reboot of Kids in the Hall in all its Canadian glory.
