Brunch Of The Moment: Benedicts & Bliss By Way Of Barcelona

A little bit of this, a little bit of that, a whole lot of something else…

We love to sample.

(And not just men.)

Anyone who’s ever dined with us knows we love to order a bunch of food, place it in the middle of the table and try some of everything.

Because of that, we may have found the most perfect brunch place ever created for our desire to eat all the foods.

Barcelona Wine Bar on Henderson Avenue always brings us big smiles because of their amazing tapas and extensive, surprise-filled wine list, but brunch tapas? That’s something we’ve never experienced and can’t believe we’ve never seen it before.

Like at lunch and dinner, the brunch menu features a variety of small-portion shareables that satisfy both sweet and savory cravings. Steak and eggs, a single Eggs Benedict that’s so amazing you will not wish to share it, and olive oil pancakes are real standouts.

But one of our favorite items was a dish we’d never had: Mangalica Estrellados. Handcut fries (ahhhmazing on their own) combine with shishito peppers and garlic aioli before getting topped with a sunny-side egg. What a delightful hangover cure!

Of course, you can order off the non-brunch menu, too, so if you take friends you can graze for hours while drinking Bloody Marys, mimosas, and carafes of sangria until the sun sets. Seriously, this is a restaurant made for hanging out and enjoying a little bit of everything.

Or a lot.
