We just went to Tequila this past weekend.
You know, to see where a good portion of our current body composition originated.
And damn if the Magical Town in Jalisco, Mexico didn’t live up to expectations (just maybe not our liver’s expectations!)
So how excited were we after a long travel day home from Guadalajara to find a box on our front doorstep with a bottle of Casa Dragones inside?
Or to be more precise, a bottle of Casa Dragones Reposado Mizunara, 100% Blue Agave Reposado.
One of the main takeaways from our “training” in Tequila was to never, ever, never, ever drink tequila that isn’t 100% Blue Agave and marked as such on the bottle. The other stuff can still be called tequila, but those inferior spirits will most definitely leave you with a wicked hangover.

Rest assured, you’ll never have to worry about anything but a superior sipping experience with anything in the Casa Dragones lineup, fine tequilas made for sipping (but delicious in a margarita if you must.)
This reposado makes for a perfect holiday drink, too. It’s fantastic served neat, chilled right from the freezer or on the rocks. Maybe run a lime zest along the rim, but nothing more.
Then you can sit back with someone special by the fireplace and taste the complex flavors that derive from tequila that’s been rested in new Mizunara oak casks. The aging process yields subtle flavors of butterscotch and apricot, maybe a hint of vanilla, that will forever make you a fan of higher-quality tequilas.
Casa Dragones always makes a nice gift, too, so if you’ve got boozers to shop for (don’t forget us!), this should be right at the tip-top of your list.
