Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Thank You For Being A Friend. An Old, Gay Friend.

When the writing team behind some of the best episodes of The Golden Girls and Roseanne reunite for a queer comedy, one pays attention.

And one also laughs until one pees.

That’s why we’re beyond excited for Uptown Players‘ next entry in its 21st season: Silver Foxes.

The comedy features an ensemble of queer fellas who rescue their BFF from a homophobic assisted living situation. Along with a twink, a couple of lesbian neighbors and several feral cats, they navigate life in Palm Springs in the 21st century in the most hilarious ways possible.

Directed by the fabulous (and fabulously adorable) Michael Urie (star of Ugly Betty and Single All The Way), the story by James Berg and Stan Zimmerman is one we can all relate to—sooner or later. (Way too soon for most of us.)

The world premiere cast includes Leslie Collins, B. J. Cleveland, Edson Montenegro, Robert San Juan  and Jon Morehouse (pictured above, left to right). Note that it will be at Theatre Three.

The March 4th matinee performance will feature a talkback with playwrights Zimmerman and Berg, along with director Urie.
