You Have Zero Reasons To Not Try This Beer

Dry January has come and gone (thankfully!), but we did try our best to enjoy a few booze-free options at the beginning of 2023.

While certain alcohol-removed wines have promise, most of them left us a little disappointed. Same with many of the zero-proof spirits and cocktails. But all these categories are making great strides in tasting more and more like the real thing.

In our honest and unbiased opinion, we find boozeless beers to be the best of the bunch.

Last week, Peroni sent us a six-pack of their semi-recently debuted premium non-alcoholic lager, Peroni Nasto Azzurro.

We pinkie swear (middle finger and thumb swear, too) that this 100% tastes like regular Peroni. To be completely transparent, however, we didn’t do a side-by-side comparison. But it was everything we love about a regular, buzz-inducing Peroni—our go-to beer with pizza.

We sipped on a bottle over a cauliflower-crust pie during the crazy storms last week and even though it sounded like the world was ending outside, we still felt somehow calmed and comforted by the ritual of drinking a beer. Mind over matter, right?

So whether you’re 100% sober or simply wish to supplement your nights of binging with something a lot better for your horribly abused liver, Peroni Nastro Azzurro delivers Italian taste with a wonderful declaration of 0.0% right there on the label.

Now if we can get that waiter in the photo as part of the deal, we’d really be tempted to switch permanently to an alcohol-free lifestyle.
