There aren’t enough exclamation points to follow the word Wow! when describing the newly opened Komodo in the Epic Development at the edge of Deep Ellum.
We were invited to a friends and family preview two weeks ago before it officially opened and we can honestly say this restaurant is one of the best imports from Miami to ever hit Dallas. It’s the first location outside of Florida, so they had to do it up right for Texas and they went big—and then even bigger for good measure.
The space is gorgeous. The people are gorgeous. The food is gorgeous. (Can you see where we’re going with this?)
To be sure, this will be a special-occasion restaurant for most of us (the Peking Duck and hot stone Wagyu beef are both $105 as an example), but the quality and flavors were so good that we’d totally pay that when we’re celebrating a big accomplishment.
Take a quick look at a few of the things we ordered the night of our visit, then book a reservation so you can get in to experience it for yourself.
A drunken Pikachu awaits.
