The 1990s had a lot of defining films that contributed to our gay evolution.
Clueless.
In & Out.
The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
Paris Is Burning.
And most definitely Cruel Intentions.
Coming June 2 to the Kalita Humphreys Theater, Uptown Players presents Cruel Intentions: the ‘90s Musical. We can’t wait.
The first-ever co-production between Uptown Players and Stage West in Fort Worth (the show’s running there currently), this jukebox musical features a double-mix-tape’s worth of ’90s chartbusters.
Based on the 1999 movie, which was in turn was based on Les Liasons Dangereuses, the musical returns to New York City of the ’90s for some insane drama and, yes, very cruel people of privilege—and it’s utterly delicious.
Not to mention sexy as hell.
