Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Hope You Like Your Oral Outrageous

We love spontaneity in our lives, but we also like routine.

There’s something comforting about knowing our housekeeper comes every other Friday. That we’re going to the pizza buffet each Tuesday. And waking up at 2:30 a.m. each night to pee. (What a treat.)

But another thing we can count on is experiencing a little Outrageous Oral every so often thanks to The Dallas Way.

If you’re unfamiliar with the organization, the mission is simple: to gather, organize, store, and present (in a variety of media) the complete LGBTQ history of Dallas, Texas.

It’s been a while since the last Outrageous Oral edition, so the in-person event at the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum sold out quickly. But you can watch the virtual presentation tonight for free. Then come back another day to see the Rise Up: Stonewall and the LGBTQ Rights Movement exhibit at the museum.

Outrageous Oral, Volume 29 brings together moderator Cordell Adams and local LGBTQ trailblazers Lee Taft, Candy Marcum, Chris Luna, Naomi Green and Leza Mesiah. They’ll discuss ideas for a path forward in our continued fight for human rights and true equality.

Not to mention keeping us occupied with plenty of third-grade jokes involving the word oral that we failed to publish because of a fleeting moment when we decided to be classy.
