Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

Travel Tuesday: Desert Dallas For A Delightful Desert

Palm Springs in August?

We know, we know. It’s hotter there than Dallas.

But also way hotter than Dallas in other ways.

That’s because you can be as gay and naked as you want in so many places around the city. Plus you have those mountain-and-palm-tree views that beat the heck out of flat-as-hell North Texas.

Though we won’t be making an August visit to the gorgeous desert city this year (we have before and loved it despite the scorching temperatures), we have plans to return for Palm Springs Pride November 3-5, 2023. Then at the end of December with a group of friends over New Year’s Eve weekend.

You definitely shouldn’t go nude to any of the official Palm Springs Pride events, but we highly recommend booking a stay at one of our favorite clothing-optional gay resorts in Palm Springs, including INNDulge where we stayed most recently.

Many of the top gay resorts have sold out, but we confirmed that many of them are creating waitlists in case of cancellations.

This year’s Palm Springs Pride events include a block party, festival and parade. Visit the website for updates on performers, which usually get announced toward the end of September. Last year’s headliners included Todrick Hall, Pussy Riot, Tanzer, Polartropica, Jake Zyrus, and Ballet Folklorico Proyecto Trans Latina to give you an idea of the types of celebrities and performers you can expect.

We just know by November we’ll be moaning and groaning about the cold weather again, so a little pre-winter fun in the sun will do us a world of good.
