Brunch Of The Moment: Komodo Komodo Komodo

We love it when an already impressive restaurant takes things up a notch or two for brunch.

Especially a restaurant whose name we love saying out loud so much, it’s almost ridiculous.

Komodo, the wildly entertaining dining experience destination, has more than a fun-to-chant name, too.

This summer, the edge-of-Deep-Ellum eatery launched Weekend Brunch and we finally made it in with a friend this past weekend.

Crispy Texas Quail & Waffles, Dynamite Crab Cake Benedict with yuzu hollandaise and crispy leek, Japanese Pancakes with strawberry-yuzu compote, vanilla cream and maple syrup, Hong Kong Style French Toast, and a vast array of dumplings await on the well-appointed brunch menu.

And, of course, lots of brunch cocktails to make Sunday Funday (or Saturday Funday) as lively as possible.

Bottomless Brunch Sips are $36 per person for two hours of neverending mimosas, rosé or sparkling wine. And it’s decent stuff, too—something more brunch places could learn a lesson from.

So make your reservations for this weekend and prepare for a legit brunch scene.

And plenty of fab photo ops.
